THE PROBLEM WITH GABBIE HANNA: a thread

Gabbie is a former ~vine star~ who transitioned to Youtube the same time as everyone else who left Vine. At this time she went by “The Gabbie Show.”

Around 2017 she took on the Gabbie Hanna name for music and writing. Both leave a lot to be desired but that’s my opinion!!!

The main problem with Gabbie is the way she treats others - she has consistently shown she is both a bad friend and social climber, and will do whatever she has to do to maintain a following and make $$$, even if her morals need to be set aside

The first really bad thing Gabbie did was betray Jessi Smiles. Jessi and Gabbie were vine bffs and youtube bffs in the early days. They frequently collaborated and Jessi spoke highly of her

In September 2013, another popular viner, Curtis Lepore, assaulted Jessi. He was charged for this crime.

So how did Gabbie respond to this incident? She remained friends with Curtis and cut Jessi, HER FRIEND, off because people called Jessi a liar. Gabbie continued to work with Curtis.

Gabbie decided to handle this with as little grace as possible, going as far as to send this insane series of texts to Jessi’s bff, Jen

Later that year, towards 2015, Gabbie got exposed for stealing a bunch of jokes from Twitter and more popular comedians like John Mulaney.

gabbie created and then monetized a video about a girl at her high school who died from a drug overdose

Gabbie stole someone’s man, obsessed over Jessi Smiles, and acted generally crazy

Gabbie promoted a company that sold “free” makeup brushes. The company never sent the brushes and Gabbie blamed her management, which shows she’ll collab with any brand for the right amount of $. Lack of integrity

so far it’s been simple. very little explanation. gabbie has just done objectively shitty things. we don’t need backstory until we get into......THE VLOG SQUAD DRAMA

so gabbie has been friends with the vlog squad since she was the gabbie show. it’s said that she’s the one who set liza and david up. she was like an OG

vlog squad WERE viners and so was gabbie. their friendship only made logical sense. she was frequently in the vlogs until 2018. she just stopped showing up. silence. no reasons why.

THAT IS UNTIL THEY LET TRISHA PAYTAS SPEAK HER MIND ON YOUTUBE

trisha paytas, for context, is crazy. but shes also crazy enough to sue gabbie hanna so!!

(small side note I know gabbie has talked about vlog squad so shh I’m getting there)

so basically Gabbie went to Jason Nash (vlog squad) and told him that Trisha Paytas has herpes, which is incurable. Trisha didn’t have herpes, she’s only had chlamydia. she just low key threw Trisha under the bus which is catty!!!

this was made worse when Gabi DeMartino, that girl who copies ariana grande, got involved. Gabbie texted Gabi to see if Trisha talked about her and Gabi said no. Gabbie texted Trisha anyways which kinda kickstarted everything. Gabi then said she was just covering for Trisha

gabbie saying she’s “about to snap” literally shows her seeking out info about trisha paytas so gabbie could start shit lmao

gabbie then accused trisha of blackmailing gabi (the ariana one if you’re getting lost here) so trisha said f you that’s defamation and is trying to sue gabbie

then trisha accuses gabbie hanna of organizing this with gabi demartino to boost gabbie’s views before her music video comes out which, honestly, I wouldn’t put THAT much above her. gabbie’s social blade is in the red lately!

but again, trisha is crazy. like, crazy crazy. but, to her credit, it is factual that gabbie accused her of having an std and was shady!

I feel like this leads into why Gabbie is no longer friends with the vlog squad. 2ish years ago Gabbie got in ricegum’s face to make fun of him and he, like a dbag, broke her phone. None of the vlog squad stood up for Gabbie except Trisha (who’s barely even considered vlog squad)

while we don’t have definitive evidence we also know the vlog squad drama also expands into Gabbie beefing with Carly and Erin. this reddit comment sums it up really well

It’s more than likely the drama focuses on Erin and Gabbie because they don’t follow each other, and Gabbie made jokes about shit like Erin getting cheated on

the thing is with Gabbie is that she will complain, shade, and act rudely to literally anyone who has ever done her wrong. VS, uber drivers, family, youtubers, anyone.

In the words of a wise GuruGossiper: We all have crappy things happen to us from time to time, but the difference is that [Gabbie] absolutely destroys relationships, deflects blame, and has meltdowns in any situation thats slightly stressful.

I think the fact that every single person she apologized to in her videos is now mad at her is very telling
