I was asked today about total net spend in the Premier League. Since it began 49 clubs have appeared in EPL & total net spend to 2018 is £8,150,000,000. Some may be surprised that #NUFC #SAFC & #SCFC are in the top 10 and #THFC not. Top 3 spenders = 40% of total since inception
Positions 11-20 show #Spurs at 11th, #CPFC surprisingly bigger spenders than #WHUFC and plucky little #AFCB in the top 20.
Outside the top 20 it shows that a single year's spending for the likes of #BHAFC & #HTAFC (these figures only include the most recent accounts so up to 2017/18) is enough to get 30th & 31st whereas 1 year for #STFC was a net spend of less than £1m
