Our new paper shows link between #toddlers language ability and temper tantrums (n=2,001). Late talkers were 1.96x more likely to have frequent, severe temper #tantrums. Important to consider risk for mental health and language disorders in parallel.

We are now following 500 children who are late talkers, irritable, or typically-developing to learn how these risk factors unfold over time. If you know families with toddlers in the Chicago area who would like to participate, please spread the word! http://w2w.northwestern.edu 5/
Families in our research learn about their child’s development and are paid for their time. More info on our website or in this story in #Chicago Parent https://www.chicagoparent.com/sponsored-content/should-i-be-worried-about-my-toddlers-speech/. Thanks for reading! 6/6
