tak interested dengan filem pasal Tun M but filem pasal Najib on the other hand...
it’ll be great. imagine: we open in 1970. we’re in the PM’s office. Tun Razak tells his staff to get out as 17yo Najib steps in. they have a deep father-son talk. young Najib touches the desk. he feels electric, inspired. CUT TO 1976. Najib comforting his grieving little brothers
he tells them, We’ll be alright. CUT TO moving day. Najib in a car being driven off. he turns around to loom at his former residence, Seri Aman one last time as the gates close.
but life goes on for Najib. he’s married now. he becomes the youngest MP. he feels powerful. then it’s 1978. he has a kid. he holds the baby in his arms. he’s suddenly vulnerable again.
then bla bla bla. we’re now in 2019. he’s in a car. he calls his brother. “remember when we were kids, you asked daddy for a swimming pool and daddy said ‘no. we can’t use the rakyat’s money’?”
his brother says “yeah.”
he says “you said that’s how you’ll remember him, always. it’s a beautiful memory, Nazir (or whoever).”
“yeah.”
“how will you remember me?”
his brother doesn’t answer. he says goodbye and steps out of the car and climbs up the stairs into court. THE END
