After everything I have read and heard this weekend, I’m truly worried about the future of Alberta. I’m a product of its public education system, a citizen who cares for the well-being of others and one who wants us to progress and excel.

What I see are leaders who are working to undermine our democracy and way of life. We cannot turn the clock back on human rights, technology, and decency. We’ve come too far. Alberta can be and should be a beacon for Canada and the world.

Quality public education is the cornerstone of our society and is being threatened and eroded by bad budget and policy choices. Every teacher, parent-really every person who cares about our future-needs to use their voice until its hoarse. We must persevere. @albertateachers
