HOW TO FIGHT TWITTER CROPPING: A THREAD (WITH EXAMPLES)
I decided to share the strategy I developed to post art without worrying about it getting cropped!

First thing to note: Twitter is a big fan of these two ratios: 16:9 (landscape) and 8:9 (portrait)
Saving your drawings with dimensions that follow this ratio will help avoid getting your art cropped!

If you're posting one image, post an image with the landscape ratio 16:9!
I drew my Caspar sketch page in a canvas with this ratio so that it wouldn't get cropped! https://twitter.com/ramyeondoodles/status/1188621640948690944?s=19

If you want to post one drawing that's in portrait orientation, draw it in a 8:9 portrait orientation and post a zoom in crop with the same ratio to help your original image not be cropped and show details of your art, just like how I did with my Hilda! https://twitter.com/ramyeondoodles/status/1189327092724518913?s=19
When posting three images, you'll want the first drawing to be in the 8:9 ratio in portrait and the next two as 16:9 landscape!
And finally, for 4 images, just post all 4 images in the 16:9 ratio landscape!
Switch screenshots are perfect examples because they're in that ratio (it's actually how I found out about how Twitter crops things)! https://twitter.com/ramyeondoodles/status/1191981717449560064?s=19

If you insist on drawing in different ratios though for print/merch reasons, I recommend saving the image as a gif file! Twitter doesn't crop gifs and it'll be harder for people to save your art and repost it too!
Here's an example of a gif, which you can see isn't cropped!

And that's my strategy for posting images on Twitter! I hope this helps for all the artists out there complaining about Twitter's cropping algorithm!
Oh shit this blew up! I'm glad it's helping out fellow artists!
I'm just going to plug my art down here! Follow me if you love Fire Emblem, especially Three Houses and Hubert von Vestra! (Images are cropped ahaha)
