This week's chapter started with Aya calling Ran because she was panicking about her photo with Hayate on the magazine. People have started saying that she and Rei have broken up - that she's already dating Hayate now (cause the magazine kinda promoted them as a couple)
Ran: "But you trust Otohata, right? I believe that Otohata trusts you, too." (AWW RAN 😭😭💕)

Aya: "Yeah. You're right. I'd better find him quickly and explain this."

(I better find him quickly now. I hope he hasn't seen anything)

But Rei's friends called her out first.
Rei and Hayate were there - and basically Hayate apologized a lot. Saying he didn't know which photo would be picked, and why that photo was picked (TL: BECAUSE YOU SAID YOU WANTED HER TO BE YOUR GIRLFRIEND TO THE REPORTER DAMN IT)
I don't get what they were discussing next - but Rei called the magazine (or something like that) cause he used to model(?) for them back in high school. Uhhhh I wish I could understand more but there are so many hard kanji there. Also I'm still shaking even now;;;
Hayate: "Hoshino-san, please tell me if there's anything I can do to help. I'll comment on BSS (TL: not sure what this is?). I'm sure this is all very uncomfortable for you, right?"

That's when Aya starts crying.

It's interesting that Aya calls Hayate, "Hayate-kun" now (with Katakana too). I'd have to ask my Japanese friend, but I feel like there's a significance there, compared to if it's written with kanji. I also wonder how Rei will react - since Aya still calls him Otohata😏😏
I'd also love to mention that while Aya's character development is more subtle, she HAS developed and matured. In the past, her problem was that she didn't believe that Rei loved her. She thought he only dated her out of pity. But that has changed now.
Do remember that Rei NEVER ONCE said "I love you" to Aya. Still, she trusts him now. Rei literally hugged Ran, and Aya didn't run away or question him. Not even once. "I trust Otohata-kun." And I think she really does. BUT, her problem now is that while she no longer questions--
--or doubts Rei's feelings for her, she lacks confidence in HERSELF. That maybe she isn't good enough for him. That maybe there's someone out there better for him. So now she's trying, and really trying, to improve her confidence as Rei's girlfriend.
Also, Takase was only using Aya. He never cared for her and didn't have feelings for her. Rei knew that; hence why he reacted the way he did. Hayate is different. He actually loves Aya - and Rei is already aware of that. I think it's exciting to see Rei losing his cool for once❤
I can relate to Aya in lots of ways, so I understand how she feels. Really excited to see how this all will go in the next parts of the story💕💕💕

I've just read this week's episode. But I didn't have much time, so the translations will have to wait. It's an important chapter for Rei and Aya, so I don't want to do it halfheartedly.

Gee, I literally just translated the whole chapter 😅 what a rollercoaster 😭💔 so far, what's happening is the usual pattern- Aya not being confident; Rei delivering "the blow"; Aya "running away"; and Ran talking to Rei. But I think the outcome will be different.
Back then when Rei hugged Ran, I expected Aya to run away. But she didn't. She trusted Rei. She trusted Ran. That didn't become a trouble at all. So this time, I'm counting on her again, for her to react differently. Back then with Katase, she reacted by agreeing to date him-
-but this time, I hope Aya will push Hayate away. She said it herself- that she's confident about her love to Otohata, so she must act on her words. This time will be different, I'm sure. As sad as this chapter was, I'm SO GLAD they finally talked about it face to face.
Up until now, Aya's vulnerability has always been an issue- BUT THEY NEVER ADDRESS IT PROPERLY. Katase as a "catalyst" wasn't enough- cause he didn't really love Aya. But Hayate is different. What do you think, though? What will happen in the next chapter?
Before I forget...

Rei's "Don't talk as if you understand Aya more than I do" is SO CUTE💕💕💕 Rei, say that to Aya, not Ran!!

Also, when he says "we shouldn't be together", unlike in the past, he seemed pained and like he's about to cry. He used to be so cold but now 😭😭💕💕
This is why I'm sure they'll be fine. What's happening now is the usual pattern, but with some significantly different small details- Rei's starting to show more of his emotions, and Aya is able to communicate her feelings ❤

I think this is their main "problem." Both, in their own ways, aren't used to expressing their feelings. Otohata, as he said himself, doesn't trust words - and he's been holding his affections in because he feels that Aya might not be ready.
