Ok. Things we've learnt: the 2016 clip was made a full 24 hours before it was shown 'in error' as if it was news footage of the 2019 event. We're in an election where the governing party have already been found to have falsified news footage. Trust in reporting & proper scrutiny especially of Johnson & his secretive team is at a low ebb. 2/
If #Wresthgate is a genuine mistake it has grave consequences nonetheless for public trust. What we all want is transparency & honesty. The minute the 'error' was aired it should have been corrected, on air & the proper footage shown. /3

Finally we are all getting suspicious of what's cock-up & what's manipulation because of the weaknesses in balance over the past few years. This state has been long coming. /5
