I did not feel like it would boil down to this but at this point, I feel the need to pen this before I implode.

Sometime last month, I saw a notification on @ibadantankansu . It was from @haliiiimo, she had just been robbed at Onírèké and needed to know if anyone could help her track the phone that was stolen from her.
Unfortunately, no one could and that's how she lost that big gig with a mobile phone company. I pitied her so much but you know that Yorùbá saying "òkú ń sunkún òkú"?
Two weeks later, it was a rainy evening and if you're a commuter in Ìbàdàn who is familiar with the Dùgbẹ́-ÌdíIshin route, you'd know how almost impossible it is to get a bike or kẹ̀kẹ́ when it rains. I resolved to walk down, so in case any kẹ̀kẹ́ was coming down,
I'd join it before it gets to the crowd of waiting passengers. Before I knew it, I was already around Sterling Bank, so I decided to trek Jericho General Hospital and then call home so I can get picked up from there.
Little did I know that that road has become a death trap since early in the year.
Three guys were walking behind me and as I was about to cross to the hospital, the attack began. They tried to collect my valuables and groped me in the process.

Luckily for me, someone was driving by and stopped to defend me. He offered to take me home but dumped me halfway cos I refused to give him my phone number. A neighbour who was on his way home saw me standing on the road like a homeless person...
and kindly dropped me off a street before mine and that's how I got home that night.
Last week, my dad's friend got his finger slashed with a knife and his phone taken away at gun point somewhere in this same city. Kí ló dé??

For a city that has gotten used to peace and serenity over time, I can boldly say #ThisIsNotMyIbadan.
As per the serenity, a pig sty is sure neater than this city as I write. All the nooks and corners of Ìbàdàn are experiencing ìdọ̀tí like never before.

Traffic ńkọ́? Its like all agencies (well except new media) have been asleep for too long!
Now, it feels like that Ogbomoso man was right when he insinuated HE wasn't anywhere near prepared for Agodi.
I am almost tempted to advise HE takes past questions and solutions on How to manage Security, Waste and Traffic from CA rather than squander taxpayers' money on what I would describe as an audio-reactive government!
