First of all: WHAT is mdzs???
MDZS (Mo dao zu shi) is originally a chinese bl novel written by MXTX (Mo Xiang Tong Xiu) It is about Wei Wuxian, also called the Yiling Patriarch, who died and gets resurrected. (Dw, it& #39;s not a spoiler, it& #39;s the first sentence of the novel)

The translators also offer a character and sect guide which is very useful bc names can be really confusing in the beginning.
The rule of thumb is: Usually, the characters have two names. It& #39;s basically a "formal" name (courtesy name) and an "informal" one. (just their name)

i got into mdzs over a year ago and my personal order was: two eps of the donghua, novel, back to donghua, audio drama, manhua, cql
but it doesn& #39;t matter in the end, really. do what is the most fun to you!!
