THREAD: 1/ We obtained a secret list of criminal cops. Atty General Xavier Becerra threatened to prosecute if we didnu2019t destroy it. After months of reporting, hereu2019s what we found. Also includes searchable database of convicted cops in CA. http://www.mercurynews.com/californias-criminal-cops-convicted-but-stay-on-the-job">https://www.mercurynews.com/californi...
2/ CA has one of the weakest oversight bodies for it& #39;s police force, and is one of 5 states that don& #39;t ban cops for misbehaving. Powerful police unions, the same ones that spend big on attorneys general races, may be to blame.

4/ An insane amount of work went into this. Couldn& #39;t have happened without a huge team including @robertianlewis @daviddebolt @KateyRusch @ldusault @ali_to_go and many, many others.
