Comparing my 2 favorite ongoing Shonen Jump manga (outside of 🐐 piece)
MC: Tied, they're almost inverse of each other as one worked until receiving power and one was given power and learned to work hard, but they both know what it was like to start from the bottom and it has been a gift to watch them both progress
Main Cast: Black Clover
This is not to bash on My Hero in the slightest, there are fantastic characters in 1A, but overall I'd have to give it to the Black Bulls. They get the edge solely because every single one of them are strange and outcasts to society and come from many-
different pasts, and yet they all develop around each other, play important roles, and overall are just a well rounded group of individuals that treat each other like family and risk their lives to help each other
Villains: My Hero
As a huge fan of Black Clover I'd be lying if I said there were many stand out villains. Patri was fantastic, The Devil served his purpose but wasn't too special, Megicula has potential to be great. But overall My Hero takes it for me as a result of the stellar-
Performances of their villains from Stain, to All For One, to Overhaul. All written excellently, but my favorite of all would have to be Shiggy, after his development in the MVA arc, the league of villains have become a well rounded group and Shiggy has grown into a great leader
Worldbuilding: Black Clover
My Hero's worldbuilding is exceptional and we learn more and more about hero and villain society, but I give it to Black Clover due to traits similar as well as expansiveness. In Black Clover we're shown the differences in the hierarchy and how the-
lives of nobles greatly differ from that of peasants, a government system with corrupted power, many different races and Kingdoms that run in completely different ways under their own forms of government and scale power in different ways.
Overall Plot: My Hero
This one was actually tough for me, but I chose MHA because I love how the overall concept is learning how to be a true hero. It takes training to become strong, but strength isn't all that makes a hero and Horikoshi portrays that phenomenally, even the top-
heroes have a hard time understanding what makes a true hero, and that simple fact opens the door to a lot of great character development from people like Bakugo and Endeavor
Foreshadowing: Black Clover
Tabata never misses a beat when it comes to foreshadowing, it may just be his greatest skill. He'll bring something up one chapter, then 100 chapters later you'll find out how much more significant that scene was than you made it out to be
