đź’ŁCam Newton Threadđź’Ł
No potential QB option in 2020 has a higher potential to turn this Chicago Bears team around and lead them to a Super Bowl than Cam Newton. In this thread, I will share some info/tape on Newton to inform you of why Newton will be by far the best option.
Cam Newton came into this 2019 coming off a tough injury on his shoulder. By the end of the season, it got a bit painful to watch. He could not throw the football downfield due to his shoulder.

Even with a bum shoulder, he finished 9th in the league in completion percentage.
Many seem to believe that after Newton's short appearance in 2019, that his shoulder is still shot, and that he cannot launch the deep ball anymore.

I have no idea where that is coming from. He had some absolute dimes to start his 2019 season while throwing with a bad foot.
You can see here that Newton can still fit the football into tight windows. He still has got some pop on his throws to squeak in tough ones.
Here is Newton throwing a nice back-shoulder throw fade to his receiver. Again, he has that fireball in his arsenal to fit in tough throws.
Newton's overall completion percentage was quite low after his first two games, but there are a few reasons for that.
1. He was still getting used to his new throwing motion.
2. He was fighting through a foot injury.
3. Very poor offensive line play was getting him killed.
So going into 2020 Cam Newton will have:
1. More time to rest his injured shoulder
2. His foot will be recovered
3. He is going to get more time throwing with his new throwing motion.

That's not even mentioning the fire he would bring if he was on a new team.
So let's talk about why the #Bears would choose Newton over other options.

Quarterbacks like Andy Dalton or Marcus Mariota could be successful in Chicago, but it's quite rare for quarterbacks like them to win a Super Bowl.
When it comes to drafting a quarterback, if the Chicago Bears elect to start a second-round pick at quarterback, they're practically punting the 2020 season. A rookie quarterback has never won the Super Bowl, let alone one that was picked in the second round. #Bears
Cam Newton is a talented enough quarterback where he does not need to ride the coattails of the defense to win the Super Bowl. Newton is likely the only option that could possibly be available in 2020 that wouldn't need to let the defense do the work. #Bears #Bears100
