Took a break in the afternoon and went for a walk around Chinese University of Hong Kong, a major stronghold for student protesters.

It’s nicknamed “Rioter U” (暴徒大學)

Posters are everywhere, but not as dense as the Lennon Walls. Some of them are quite timely reflecting very recent events. – at Sir Run Run Shaw Hall 邵逸夫堂
“Today, no mask. Tomorrow, no speech.”

Many students wear a black face wherever they go to make a strong statement against the anti-mask law recently enacted.

There’s also a strong distrust of the police that is reflected everywhere on the campus. – at United College Library 聯合書院圖書館
Tomorrow is graduation day for these students. Expect them to attend their convocation in a mask.

Whatever they do afterwards, they may have already gained their first “real world” experiences in the past 5 months, when they have taken on one of the 20 roles shown in pig. 🐷 – at MTR University Station

This year must have been the most intense convocation ceremony ever. https://twitter.com/woppa1woppa/status/1192274073352429568 – at The Chinese University of Hong Kong
Looking at graduation ceremonies held across Hong Kong universities this week, there is no doubt that the government has lost the trust of an entire generation.
Given that all public protests have been made illegal in Hong Kong over the past few months by the government, university students are using their once-in-a-lifetime graduation ceremony event to express their views.
Police have raided CUHK and many other universities in HK this week to crack down on student protesters.

Scene at CUHK feels like a war zone:
Unlike other universities such as HKU and PolyU that are located in dense urban areas, CUHK is located on the top of a remote hill.

After the meeting last week, the Carrie Lam administration is under a whole lot of pressure from Beijing to extinguish any form of protest in HK.

It feels surreal that I was here visiting CUHK students just 5 days ago. This university will never be the same. https://twitter.com/eyepressnews/status/1194224682993516545
Aftermath: Students collected tear gas grenades fired inside CUHK yesterday (11/12) by the HK police.
