Overheard a conversation at a cafe between some elderly people who were clearly traditional Tory voters. Some things to note...
1. They donât like Trump. They think heâs a vulgar boor with King Of The World delusions.
2. They are definitely distinctly ambivalent about Johnson and Cummings.
3. Some of them want Brexit. Some of them are a bit...Meh.

They ALL hate and fear Corbyn. I mean, they visibly shuddered at the mention of his name.
Iâm not a JC supporter myself but their aversion is something quite different. Itâs visceral. Heâs the left wing bogeyman of all their Daily Telegraph nightmares.

They feel about him the way a lot of you feel about the likes of JRM, Bannon and Cummings.
And that fear will ultimately guide their vote, I suspect. Even the ardent Brexiters will grit their teeth and plump for Tory rather than BP.

Of course, itâs great Fartage wonât get his way, but there is also a downside. Some Remainers are predicting that many of these âmoderateâ Tories will defect to LD or abstain completely. I suspect this will not be as common a phenomenon as we think.
