Well, here is one slide from the Defense Intelligence Agency work on History of Afghanistan. You see they& #39;ve superimposed the photo of a nose-less villain character Tim Strawn played by Lee Marvin onto the portrait of #AhmadShahAbdali.
Why would a history work do such a rubbish comparison of the most iconic heroes of the region with a villain? I don& #39;t get it. Unless the author is peddling the same colonial, British-Indian propaganda of demonization & vilification of Afghans and Pashtuns.
By the way, exactly an year ago we had a good Twitter debate if Ahmad Shah Abdali wore a bejeweled mask during the battle of Panipat in 1761 to cover his nose.
