My piece for @TheEconomist on the cyber-attack on India's Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant (though importantly not its control systems), touching on some of the wider issues around vulnerabilities in nuclear and other critical national infrastructure https://www.economist.com/asia/2019/11/01/a-cyber-attack-on-an-indian-nuclear-plant-raises-worrying-questions
An intriguing suggestion from @tjaplant: "there are several plausible reasons why North Korea might take an interest in Kudankulam in particular ... [it] has been building an experimental light-water nuclear reactor, which may be similar to India’s and be approaching start-up."
To clarify: as the piece makes clear, that is not a direct quote from @tjaplant, who made very clear that there were plenty of unknowns in this hypothesis. That is me paraphrasing.
