There is still a place for men in modern society. People think that men are no longer necessary in the comforts of modern society. That they are expendable and young men everywhere are buying into these lies. These lies are affecting young men.
One in seven young men between the age of 16 and 24 experience depression and anxiety each year.
And who can blame them? They are beaten down and berated for the crimes of other psychos.
They are told not to judge people, not to stereotype, not be be racist against a group of people. Yet young men are demonized routinely. Their spaces to escape and act like men are routinely invaded by women who want to tell them how to act.
Men who feel lost give into to nihilism. They abandon more meaningful pursuits because they feel their life doesn’t matter. So they spend their days in a virtual world with video games and online forums. They spend their nights numbing themselves with alcohol and drugs.
This all creates a negative feedback loop that makes your life feel even more insignificant so you dive deeper into this dull and listless life. Eventually you begin to hate yourself.
You don’t have to live like this. You can strive for more. You can learn to love your life.
You can learn to love yourself. It begins with fixing your life. It begins with the gym. Reinvent yourself.
