Filipino Phrases that I always say either in real life, or in Twitter

(A thread... Probably)
"Bakit ba tayo may pasok ngayon?" translates to "Why do we have classes today?"

(Most of these phrases will probably have something to do with school or something)
"Tinatamad akong pumasok" translates to "I'm too lazy to go to school/work." (Probably)
"Papasok ka ba?" translates to "Are you going to school/work?"
"Matulog ka na, gago" translates to "Go to sleep, stupid" (although the word gago is treated as heavy enough to be counted as a swear word... I think)
"Magsasaing ba ako?" (I think I made a grammatical error, but I wouldn't know) translates to "Should I cook rice?" (also an inaccurate translation)
"Nakakagutom naman..." translates (but inaccurately) to "This is making me hungry..."
"Gusto ko nang mamatay" literally means "I want to die"
"Uuwi na ako" translates to "I'm going home"
"Nawawala nanaman tsinelas ko" translates to "My flip-flops are missing again"
"Inaantok na ako" roughly translates to "I'm feeling a bit drowsy"
Turns out that I also have to put phrases that I don't say here.
"Salamat" and "Walang problema" translates to "Thank you" and "No problem", respectively
Here's one the most common phrases that I see.

"Mag-ingat ka, tanga ka pa naman." roughly translates to "Be careful, you fool."
The moment you're all have been for... (swear word)

"Putangina mo" is actually worded as "Putang ina mo" which kinda means "Your mom's a hoe".
The phrase is commonly use as a swear word and is also used when you are surprised by something. The word can be altered in meaning.
Putang ina (cont)

For example:
You got jumpscared, you might say "Ay, putang ina!"

Some inconvenience happens to you, you would say "PUTANG INA NAMAN OH!"

You got into a fight and you're very pissed. You would say "PUTANG INA MO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

That's what I could think of.
Putang ina (cont)

Another thing
Some Filipino would say to foreigners that "Putang ina mo" is "I love you"

This is just to make fun of foreigners who're trying to learn the language... I think

It's kinda sad because some foreigners are willing to learn some phrases...
"Anong katarantaduhan nanaman ang ginawa niyo?" roughly translates to "What the f*ck did you guys do?"
"Makinig ka naman sakin!" roughly translates to "Listen to me!"
Okay

I think the words "bobo" and "gago" both translate to "stupid"

As stated in this thread, "gago" is a heavy word. But "bobo" is just as heavy... I think. In summary, some Filipinos doesn't want to be called stupid.

It boils down to context and interpretation.
Bobo and Gago (cont)

Just remember that communication is prone to interpretation.

Be careful on how you deliver the word you're gonna say.
"Bakit gising ka pa?" roughly translates to "Why are you still awake?"
"Matutulog ka? Walang kayang pasok bukas." roughly translates to "You going to sleep? There're no classes tomorrow, y'know?"
"Hindi ako galit, nagpapaliwanag lang" (improper grammar used?) roughly translates to "I'm not angry, I'm just trying to explain (the situation)."
"WALANG POREBER, GAGO!!! HINDI KA NA NIYA MAHAL!!!!"
roughly translates to "There's no forever, dumbass!!! They don't love you anymore!!!!"

A bit of an explanation here
Pronouns in Filipino are very gender-neutral, if I remember correctly.

"Niya" could me "He" or "She"
Walang Forever cont.

I decided to go for "They" for the sake of being gender-neutral... I hope
An addition to this thread

The Filipino language is very... contextual...

There're a lot of Filipino words that can be taken out of context

I mentioned some of these words in this thread

It's scary to talk to fellow Filipinos, to be honest 😅
"Wala na akong pera. Bukas nalang ako magbabayad." roughly translates to "I have no money right now. I'll just pay you tomorrow."

This is most commonly used by people who are in deep debt xD
Remember when I still made these? AHAHA

"Hindi ko maalala sinabi nila" roughly translates to "I don't remember what they said"
