As a huge David Bowie fan who has done a lot of research on him. I feel it is very important to know the facts about the allegations/rumors against him, as I constantly see people spreading them as fact with out knowing anything. So heres a thread debunking the DB allegations
The allegations and rumors surrounding Bowie, mostly all stem from the notorious Underage Groupie Lori Mattix (Or Maddox as she is also known) She claims she lost her Virginity to Bowie whilst she was underage, at 13, 14, or 15 depending on which version you hear.
Whilst she has always said the alleged experience was positive that does not change the fact it would have still been statutory rape. However there are some significant credibility issues with her story, to such extent it cannot and should not be disputed as fact!
Lori actually first claimed she had her first time with Jimmy Page. She claims she met him in June 1972 when Page came to Long Beach in California (where Mattix is from) during the Zeppelin 1972 tour. There are indeed images of Mattix and Page together. Whilst this of course is not proof of a sexual relationship, it certainly shows that she did have some involvement with Page.
Others on the Music Groupie scene have mentioned Mattix and Page being together from June 1972 until 1974 as well.
However Mattix then later changed her story claiming she had in fact lost her virginity to Bowie when he came to California during the Ziggy Stardust Tour, which Mattix claims was BEFORE Page.
The problem here is the fact that the very first time Bowie ever came to California was in late October 1972, and the Long Beach Gigs took place in March 1973. So it seems she couldn't have met Bowie until after she started dating Page. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ziggy_Stardust_Tour
She has also given at least 3 different versions of how she allegedly lost her virginity to Bowie. In one interview she gave to Peter Gilman she claimed that she had been getting dinner at the Rainbow Bar in March 1973. and that Bowie, who also happened to be at the restaurant-
first spotted her from across the room. According to her, he sent his bodyguard over to ask if she would like to join him in his suite that night. She said she accepted, and that another teenage groupie Sable Starr had wanted to join them.
Mattix said that she had sex with Bowie, whilst Starr was waiting jealously the whole time, then Mattix feeling guilty about leaving her friend in the sitting room managed convince a reluctant Bowie to later have sex with Starr in order to humor her.
Mattix also gave an interview to Paul Trynka with a completely different version of her encounter with Bowie. There, she said that she and Sable Starr actually made their way over to the Beverly Hilton in October 1972 found out which room Bowie was in, and snuck in.
She said that when they managed to get into his room, he was tired and hesitant to have sex with them at first, but that they eventually convinced him before sneaking out of his room, unseen.
Mattix later gave her most recent version for an article on Thrillist .She claimed that she had actually been propositioned by Bowie back in October 1972, but rejected him and he then later called her and took her to dinner when he was back in town in March 1973
She claimed John Lennon and Yoko Ono joined them briefly at dinner, and then Mattix and Bowie went to Bowie's room and they had a threesome with Sable Starr. The problem here is Bowie and Lennon met for the 1st time in late 1974
when they were introduced to one another by Elizabeth Taylor who had invited them both to a party she was hosting
Mattixs story got even more ridiculous when she later went on to claim she had a 10 year on off relationship with Bowie. There are no Photographs of them together, and no corroborating accounts from anyone. In fact I cannot even find an account from Sable Starr
To my knowledge Starr never confirmed or denied Mattixs story. Starr died in 2009 from a brain tumor. There is also a video interview of Mattix on You tube about Page at 1.00 min in she starts to say she was virgin when she met him and then quickly changes it to a baby.
This matches up to her original story, but of course contradicts her later stories about Bowie hence why she quickly tries to rectify what she said
Another Girl people bring up who was involved with Bowie is Dana Gillespie. What a lot of people do not realize is the fact she was born in 1949 Bowie was born in 1947 making him just 2 years older. Gillespie has always spoken fondly of Bowie.
The other incident that some bring up is a bizarre incident from 1987 when Bowie was accused of raping a woman and infecting her with Aids. This of course was at the height of the AIDS hysteria and Bowie was openly bisexual
The incident occurred in 1987 whilst Bowie was on tour in Dallas Texas during the Glass Spider Tour. The accuser was 30 year old Dallas Woman Wanda Lee Nichols who was an acquaintance of Bowie's tour drummer Alan Child's
3 days after their encounter she claimed Bowie had raped her for 3 hours bitten her in a Dracula like fashion and told her he had exposed her to AIDS. She also filed a lawsuit trying to sue Bowie for millions.
A grand Jury threw out her claims as they didnt find her credible, there was no evidence, and she had sent Bowie a thank you note after her encounter with him before she made the accusations

It should also be known just days after the alleged incident she sold her story to the Sun and News of The World in the UK and Star Magazine in the US
It was reported during the hearing on the civil suit one UK tabloid paid her $30,000 for the story
