I'm going to give my two cents on why I think all GOT7 members are in Slytherin.
First, you must know that Slytherin isn't an evil house. It's just that there are many overly ambitious people in that house. These are the traits of Slytherin: Resourcefulness, Cunning, Ambition, Determination, Leadership, Self-Preservation, Fraternity, Lineage.
This doesn't mean that a person must have all of it. It's more in which they have more or a combination of it override the other traits. This doesn't mean that a Slytherin can't be a goofball or clumsy person. Everyone in the four houses should be dynamic, but have combination
of traits that overrides the other in order to be in certain house. Slytherin is actually a great house to be in. Every traits in this house lead to you having a combination of traits in the other house. To be resourceful, you have to be smart,
to be a leader, you have to be accepting, patient and tolerating of others, ambition require you to be brave and daring to try out different route. Determination is basically working hard and dedicated to your goal.
When GOT7 first debut, you can easily put them in different houses of HP based on personalities. But throughout the years they grew up and you'll slowly see the Slytherin traits overrides their innate personalities because they understand they don't have to constantly show their
innate personalities to people. All of them are originally in House Slytherin because of one single trait. Ambition. All seven are very ambitious since young, some show more than others. But without a doubt it overrides everything else, or they wouldn't be here.
They have a lot of determinations, but what really determine them to be in Slytherin is actually Resourcefulness. They are very ambitious, but also very resourceful. Bambam started to become a businessman since very young, remember, he's only 22 and already owned a chain
of restaurants. He knew when to capitalize on his popularity in his home country since young. Jackson is so ambitious and determine to follow with his goal that he understand how to play the game when he saw people like his humor. But then he realized he can't be using that
same image forever. He has to grow up. And you can see very well in Dway mv, that he's being resourceful throughout his life, knowing when to strike, when to change is the key to achieving your goal. Mark for a time people don't know what he's doing or he himself don't know
but once he figure things out, everything goes smoothly because once again, he already has the resource, he just doesn't use it. You can already see him starting projects in China and going into merchandise to learn more about this industry.
Jaebeom, he is a leader everyone know, but this isn't why he's in this house. He's someone you don't know which house he belongs to, but lowkey his true house is Slytherin. Here's why he's lowkey about it. You know Offshore? Yeah, that's not a simple production team.
There's a reason why the members jokingly call him 'CEO'. My theory is that, he owns the studio that they're using. A studio to produce music at high quality level isn't cheap to have. Every instruments has to be state of the art in order to achieve that crisp up to date quality
He has the capital for them. That's his investment, and he's not going to outright tell people about it. He's hella smart. The only problem is, it's a bit difficult in this route, but he's going to make it work. It's right now just a side project while he think of something else.
While he think of how to make it bigger. That and he can't really tell you it's his business due to him being in JYPE. Jinyoung is definitely going the acting route. He's going to have more projects in the future, and it's going to be stuff he choose and get himself.
I think by the end of last year he already know that he can't rely on JYPE to get him projects without them bundling him with whatever project they're investing in. He's going to have to start building his own network for all the projects to come in. There's also another reason
why he's also not doing a lot of projects, it's by choice. A lot of the boys are putting their own solo stuff on hold for this one reason. GOT7. I'll explain after I go through the last two members. Youngjae, a lot of you are worrying about him, rightfully so. JYPE neglects him
but the great thing about Youngjae is how ambitious and determine he is. These two traits override his resourcefulness at the moment. He's still unclear on how to go about it and how to get what he wants. He's not confident, but the moment he does, he will quickly level up to
everyone at a very speedy rate. For example, if it takes Jackson years to build up to what his goal is (due to trial and errors). It would take Youngjae half of that to get to his goal. It's just difference in personalities but result the same. While Jackson just do it and see,
Youngjae overthinks, Jinyoung is similar, but Jinyoung have some of the 'just do it' trait so it help him a bit. Yugyeom, he's playing now, but he's also absorbing, everything, every traits of the other members so when he sets his goal, he's going to get it done quick.
But everyone of them is putting their goal on hold, or slowing the process for GOT7. This is because they understand they need the brand name to be at a certain level so it would help them in the long run. But they are still working on their solo activities because they
also understand, GOT7 brand name won't level up if they do things as a group. Common marketing of a group doesn't work with GOT7. As we've seen. Actually, GOT7 just throw every kpop marketing style out of the window lol. Nothing in basic manual of 'how to build a group' work
with them, you'd have to figure out new marketing style for them. Which I think JYPE is also figuring out with the help of the members' own ambitions and ideas. So this is how it works with them. To level up GOT7 brand name, they have to do solo work, but not a lot. Once GOT7
brand name hit a point where they wanted, they would then roll out everything for their solo stuff, this is so to sustain the GOT7 brand to last longer. If you remember, we have 4 korean members? Enlistment...If they are going with the plan of 4 at the same time
That would leave ATK 2 straight years to roll out their solo works. Jackson is definitely waiting to roll out everything during the members' enlistment. He's not going to leave the group, he knows the group help him with getting the resources, and plus, he's going to have that
2 years to promote his solo stuff, so he just wait a bit and can do that and when the group return the brand will still sustain, not just him but Bambam and Mark will definitely have a lot to do for those years. The brand sustain, the members have more works, more demand.
You can say he can earn a lot as a soloist in China, but his goal is not China only. His goal is the world! Not just his, but all of GOT7's. Not just the world as a trend, but as artists that last for a long long time. Enlistment usually kill a momentum of a group, they know
And they say eff it. It's not going to happen to them. They're going to be bigger after enlistment because that's what they want. And they'll get it no matter what. And that's why, they're all in Slytherin.
my two cent is done. Feel free to discuss ~~
