Article 370 & 35a were included into the Constitution of India in an attempt to legitimise India's illegal occupation of Jammu & Kashmir. Historic & important laws of J&K were drafted into these articles in the name of "special constitutional provisions".
Abrogation of Article 370 & 35a of the Constitution of India means that the historical laws pertaining to Jammu & Kashmir stand scrapped. We maintain that India has absolutely no mandate to abolish any law of the erstwhile nation of Jammu & Kashmir.
The laws under Article 370 & 35a existed even before India's independence. These laws are historic in nature contrary to Indian claims of "special status" for J&K. The laws have been abrogated in an attempt to change demography & affect the disputed status of Jammu & Kashmir.
Ladakh is a part of Jammu & Kashmir. India has no right to separate Ladakh from J&K. Abrogation of the laws under Article 370 & 35a or separating Ladakh from J&K is in clear violation of all the international resolutions & bilateral agreements between India & Pakistan.
India has violated United Nations Security Council resolutions as well as the Simla agreement & Lahore declaration by taking unilateral decisions on Jammu & Kashmir. India has also misused Simla agreement by putting preconditions for dialogue & rejecting mediation offers.
We condemn unilateral decisions taken by the Government of India on Jammu & Kashmir without taking the people of J&K into confidence. Instead the people of Jammu & Kashmir woke up to curfew, restrictions & blockade of all communication & media services.
We also condemn the false narrative created by the administration which tries to act as media themselves led by the so called "Governor" of Jammu & Kashmir. People demand that peaceful protests be allowed & local as well as international media must be allowed to report it.
We demand immediate rollback of all the decisions taken by the Government of India on Jammu & Kashmir on 5th & 6th August 2019 in the Parliament of India. This is aggression against the people of Jammu & Kashmir.
We demand an end to curfew as well as other restrictions on movement & peaceful protests. We demand immediate restoration of all the communication lines including Mobile & Internet services in entire Jammu & Kashmir.
This is one of the most massive mass crackdowns in recorded history. We demand immediate release of all the political prisoners who have been lodged in various jails in and outside Jammu & Kashmir. We also demand revocation of the draconian Public Safety Act.
India's military presence in Jammu & Kashmir has increased regularly since the last few months which has taken the number of Indian armed forces in J&K to 0.9 million making the world's most militarized zone more militarily vast. We demand withdrawal of Indian army from J&K.
We condemn all forms of terrorism in and outside Jammu & Kashmir but mantain that there is only one form of terrorism going on in Jammu & Kashmir which is India's state sponsored terrorism. We demand revocation of AFSPA which is the nickname for state terrorism in J&K.
We demand setup of an International Enquiry Commission & access to foreign observers group under United Nations supervision in Jammu & Kashmir to investigate the human rights violations by India amid media shutdown during the 2019 Kashmir Civil disobedience movement.
We also urge UN to implement UNSC resolutions on Jammu & Kashmir by conducting free & fair plebiscite to resolve the dispute of Jammu & Kashmir in accordance with the wishes & aspirations of the people of Jammu & Kashmir.
We also reject war as an option to resolve any issue between India and Pakistan. We suggest India to peacefully resolve the issue of Jammu & Kashmir by initiating a sincere dialogue with Pakistan and the people of Jammu & Kashmir.
