Yes, there is a huge prob of Islamist terrorism in world, but if even 1% of Indian Muslims wr that rasicalised, we wd hv bn a hot mess. Yes, there hv bn instances of radicalisation & joining ISIS among Indan Muslims, but if you see it as % of Muslims, it’s very, very less.

Don’t be fools & play into the hands of politicians on all sides, who stand to benefit out of religious/casre/class divides. They appeased M/perpetuated victimhood in them, causing resentment in H. Now H are feeling victimised & some would love to perpetuate their victimhood.

I am choosing this thread to post a few tweets so that ppl know that I am not against a community, & that I don't target all for the faults of some; be it Muslims or Hindus. I am pro India, not pro any religion, community or ideology.

I state the below as someone, who wants India to focus on economic growth, which is only possible if there is internal peace. I state the below as someone, who hopes against hope that Indians will rise above the existing faultlines & learn to live in peace.

I know how #IdeaOfIndia brigade works, & I am not very religious. So, the constant religious identity assertion by the Indian Muslims & the mollycoddling by #IOI & media, doesn't affect me much. But I can't expect the same from the non-Muslim commoners.

There is an obvious contrast in the way the Muslim community (& its IOI/media defenders) act & the way they demand others to act. I will list down a few things here below, & I would urge the community to read with open minds & by putting themselves in the shoes of others.

If terrorism has no religion why gather for terrorist's funeral or vandalise a newspaper office for using piggy bank pic for ISIS funds? What is it with calling crime by H against M as 'saffron terror' but maintaining 'terror has no religion' in face of Islamist terror attacks?

Non-Muslims may not know or agree with namaaz-e-janaza; they would simply see a Muslim crowd for the funeral of a terrorist or vandalising for ISIS. They won't consider that crowd is a small % of Muslims, just as you don't consider that one lynching doesn't make all Hindus antiM.

If Hindu religious slogans by a few ppl scares you, why shouldn't 5*365 azaan on loudspeakers scare others? If you are Muslims first always, why demand secularism fm others? If Constitution is supreme, why do you need religious clerics to convince you to follow State guidelines?

For every Akhlaq there is a Kamlesh Tiwari, so why cry about one & gloss over another? There are bad apples in all communities, but very few in other communities justify bad apples or defend them as vociferously as Muslims do. Nor do they pull out victim cards so quickly.

If you can compromise the safety of Indians in Islamic nations coz they fit your amusing definition of Islamophobia that includes everyone uttering a word against the community, why get all worked up when a Jain refuses you a job in India?

I won't say all Muslims approve of wrongdoers from community, but most do choose silence over condemning wrongdoing. Isn't it moral responsibility of community leaders-religious, political, intellectual-to show correct path, instead of causing incitement or perpetuating paranoia?

If Indian Muslims think that #IndiaOfIndia brigade cares for them, they are sadly mistaken. If the so called secular politicians & the #IOI had indeed cared for the Muslims, the community would have been the most prosperous and educated community, not dependent on minority doles.

Now consider this: What if a substantial chunk of majority population turns paranoid, develops victimhood & starts putting religion & coreligionists first? The very politicians, who have been appeasing you, will turn into overnight Shivbhakts to get enbloc H votes.

With your constant religious identity assertion, defending wrongdoers from community, perennial paranoia & expressing brotherhood with the ummah than with fellow countrymen - you, not majority Hindus, are the ones paving the way that would eventually lead to a Hindu rashtra.

If anyone's sensitivity gets offended over above, I would say 'michchami dukadam' in the style of our microminority Jain community, a person belonging to which is being hounded in Chennai. Not out of fear of being hounded, but coz I didn't write this to offend anyone.
