Data shows a grand total of 7 individuals in #HK prosecuted for Human Trafficking related offences, since July 2018. The supposed "tapas" approach to criminalization patently ineffectual; (as accepted by Court of Appeal in ZN [166-167] https://accessinfo.hk/en/request/human_trafficking_prosecutions#incoming-1209

Next week, the #HK Court of Final Appeal hears the case of ‘ZN’, examining the regions obligations in respect of victims of #HumanTrafficking. It is a very important case for a number of reasons.

There are really two questions in the appeal:(1) The breadth of any prohibition of #HumanTrafficking w/n Article 4 of BORO; & (2) The extent/existence of any duty to have a ‘bespoke’ Trafficking criminal offence.
