Anong issue sa moisturizers?
Ok, reviewed the article of Dr. B. This is a 2018 article on her take on moisturizers. This is my comment on her statements.

First: It's not clear what she was asked about moisturizers. Band-aid solution...for what skin condition? Let's give her the benefit of the doubt.
So hindi malinaw kung para saan ang moisturizer na tinutukoy niya. Kung may pigsa o alipunga, hindi talaga pwede ang moisturizer. Dapat na klaro ito ng writer ng article.

Moving on...
Second, we shouldn't compare the skin of a baby to an adult and say that baby's skin is the "perfect skin". Baby's skin is VERY THIN. If you have a baby's skin as an adult, there are many things that'll be hard to do:

Play basketball
Swim for hours
Do household chores
Etc
Mapupunit agad ang balat kung baby skin ka tapos adult ka na. In short, you expect the skin to change as you age. This change matches the development of the individual and this is NORMAL.
Next, baby's skin is thin BUT skin cells are tightly glued to each other. Isipin niyo...

Adult skin: 100 people (skincells) holding hands (welding).

Baby skin: 30 people holding hands.

If the skin is not tightly glued AT ANY AGE, that is not compatible with normal life.
Check out the condition epidermolysis bullosa. This is a perfect example of the skin cells not having their proper attachment/glue/welding to each other.
Other examples are pemphigus and bullous pemphigoid.

(Hopefully hindi dumugo ilong niyo...kaya pa?) 😬
Correct, moisturizers help keep the skin soft by attracting/keeping enough water on the skin. They also form an additional protective covering on the skin. So having said that, in general, MOISTURIZERS HELP KEEP THE SKIN HEALTHY AND WE NEED TO APPLY THEM THROUGHOUT OUR LIVES.
Next, what is the problem that she is talking about in the first place? Aging? Acne? Exczema? Athlete's foot? Not stated.

Also skin cells mature, rise up the epidermis, die, and are shed NATURALLY in 28 days. Moisturizers cannot stop this natural process from happening.

BUT...
Moisturizers prevent the associated, dryness, flaking and wrinkling associated with skin shedding (and normal aging).

In short, moisturizers help us AGE GRACEFULLY.
This is a sweeping generalization. If you follow this analogy and you have eczema like psoriasis and atopic dermatitis your skin will get WORSE. Even for those who undergo chemical or diamond peels (you speed up the shedding), moisturizers are still NEEDED to help the skin heal.
Another sweeping statement. In a country where people use their bare hands to work, moisturizers are ESSENTIAL to keep healthy hands.

However, it's true that MOISTURIZERS WILL NOT TREAT PIMPLES and may worsen them. BUT...they can be used with correct meds that can cause dryness
NO. We are only a baby ONCE IN OUR LIVES.

There is no baby skin under an adult skin.

Bawal ang pabebe 😂
May binebenta ba siyang products na ganito? Beke nemen meren 😬

No. The skin doesn't breathe. Lungs po ang gumagawa noon.

Tretinoin and retinol for acne - correct.
Another sweeping statement.

Where ever you are, moisturizers are needed. You might need less or more depending on the situation, skin condition, and the body part in question.
