Asexuality is not one identity, it's a spectrum. We are all real and we should not have to remain hidden. Every single one of these identities is real. There are billions of people on the planet. We are complicated, sexual attraction is complicated.
To expect all of us to experience it, and to expect all of us to experience it in the same way is ridiculous. People don't work like that.
I'm sorry that we don't all fit into your neat little categories that make the world easier to understand. But unfortunately, we deserve to understand ourselves. We deserve to communicate how we feel and what we're going through. And you don't get a say in that.
You don't get a say in our identities just like we don't have a say in yours.

So go on, whinge about how this is too complicated. How these aren't identities, this is just us trying to be special.
You don't know what it's like to be aspec, to experience the world like we do.
This isn't about being valid or getting attention. It's about being understood and represented. It's about not being told it's an illness and lowering the rates of corrective assault. It's about creating a world where acespec kids don't grow up feeling broken and alone
