If you refuse to correct your course after the first mistake whatever happens next is no longer a mistake, it's a conscious choice to pursue bad decisions. Nothing good comes from that slippery slope.
Stop letting anger be your default response to situations because you are uncomfortable feeling the appropriate emotion and code switch to anger instead. Sit with that shame, guilt, fear, despair... SIT WITH IT! Unpack it & work your way through why you feel it. Stop lashing out.
Killing 30 guys to pay off a gambling debt that you got into because of your own moomishness is over the top by every standard imaginable.
