I’ve decided I’ll dedicate this entire thread to tweeting at least one uplifting verse from the Quran or a hadith every night before going to bed. It kind of helps me to listen/read something before sleeping so I thought I should share it with the world, just in case.✨
“No disaster strikes except by permission of Allah. And whoever believes in Allah – He will guide his heart. And Allah is Knowing of all things.” (64:11)
“And the slaves of the Most Beneficent (Allah) are those who walk on the earth in humility and sedateness, and when the foolish address them (with bad words) they reply back with mild words of gentleness.” (25:63)
"Verily, your own self has rights over you, so fast and break your fast, pray and sleep." (abi Daud - sahih)
Prayer and fasting are inherently good acts, but doing them excessively to the point of neglecting the needs of the body makes them blameworthy. IN other words self care of all forms and your physical/mental health comes first sisters!!
“Your Lord has neither forsaken you nor hates you. And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present. And verily, your Lord will give you (all i.e. good) so that you shall be well-pleased.” (93:3-5)

Sura Duha has honestly always been my go-to Surah when I’m depressed.
this is specifically for all the times when I’ve been unable to pray and felt very distant from faith in general. it scares me a little because of the entire “dil pe moharr lag jaati hai” wala scenario but for some reason surah duha always does wonders at easing my heart. 🥺🥺🥺
Vile women are for vile men, and vile men are for vile women; and good women are for good men, and good men are for good women. Those are free from what they (the accusers) say. For them there is forgiveness, and a graceful provision. (24:26)
I actually can not explain in words how empowering Surah Noor has been for me. I just have a very, very personal connection with this and it just kind of gave me the courage to pick myself up and rebuild again when I was at my lowest.
Indeed what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by. (93:4)
a personal favorite considering I’ve had a really traumatic and dark past. gives me so much hope :c
