my old account got s worded so i am reposting this thread because everyone needs to know about ren
he often broke gender norms and modelled unisex clothing for a chinese magazine
he supports marymond and very often uses their products. if you don’t know what marymond is they are a brand which shows support to korean women who were used as comfort women
he shut down an interviewer who was trying to insult him for being feminine
he posted a message of support saying “don’t worry, everything is okay” in 2016 when there was a bombing attack in turkey. he wore a bracelet he got from turkey when they visited before
he wore this bracelet throughout produce 101 and before to remember the sewol ferry disaster
he went to the sewol ferry memorial and this fan account says he deliberately left the bracelet there
re-posted a petition on instagram to stop an animal shelter for abandoned pets closing down
he collected cupholders that fans made for his birthday. he went to many different cafes in his free time while trying not to get recognised by fans so he could surprise them! he also asked other people to collect some for him so he could find all of them
during a fansign back in december he comforted a love who is hard of hearing and wrote the message “there are many more things that we can see with our hearts, thank you for being so brave”
