My favorite business models and why, a thread:
5. Data Licensing/Data selling. Data is the new oil. You can learn and earn so much by controlling data. I got into it when I looked into the infamous MoviePass business a few years ago. They did it horribly but I tend to learn better from others mistakes than their successes.
4. Franchise. As a new franchise owner, I fell in love with making money off of someone else’s brand. I can just pay you royalties for all of your work on your brand? Sign me up. An example of this is my favorite restaurant, McDonalds.
3. High Touch. As an introvert, it’s kinda ironic BUT I love actually interacting with people to help them on a case by case business. An example of this would be the consulting work I do for real estate.
2. Subscription. I believe this is the most effective way to keep revenue flowing from the same customers. I don’t own any subscription based companies yet but gimme a minute lol.
1. My favorite business model is affiliate marketing. A few of my businesses are low key glorified affiliate marketing businesses. I’m the face people trust so if I put a product out there people will purchase it on the basis that I only provide quality products.
That’s all.
