in the radio (vlive?), i talked about white but i didnt know the dress code would be white. actually my outfit for today was originally something different. did you listen to my song well during these 4 days? im sure you will sing along with me right?

it's been 6 months with 'beautiful goodbye' (he mentioned how he misspoke the title) i think i received unexpected attention and love from you guys. so i thought about how i could repay that and i thought an album was the most meaningful way to do that.

to say this is a showcase, it has already been days past since dmd release. this is my first time doing live in front of you guys, i think i saved (singing live) for this day. it's not fun to just listen the entire time right?

what significance does the moon have for chen? (bc he used it my dear and she's dreaming)

JD: "for me, the moon...i use the words "moon, star" alot... everyone has things that they want to hide from ppl, keep secret. but i feel like the moon and stars see through all of that.

which is why i think they are significant figures. the moon seems to contain/hold alot of stuff."

3rd song, amaranth

JD: i liked the title of this song. when we first had the production meeting, there was just a list of titles (he didnt listen to the songs) and this title was there. in this song, there is this message: "you are like a flower"

JD: (as i grew older) i felt more immune/indifferent to emotions, pain, and even love. recently, i wanted to try photography and while i was doing it, i felt my sensibility being restored.

the comment mentioned jongdae nearing the late 20s and jongdae said he's fairly sure that there are people in the audience who are similar age to him LOL

jongdae: don't be devastated by trials and errors, because that's what tomorrow is for

he said he isnt an impressive person bc he says these things, but he wants us to be people who comfort and say these things to each other

the song reminded a fan of their mom, so they called their mom after awhile and thanked jongdae for reminding them

jongdae: i thought of my mom too. i wanted to tell my mom this title (amaranth) too....before the atmosphere gets too sad, shall we move onto the next song?

jongdae thought revealing/singing "hold you tight" was the best way to express his feelings for fans :((

jongdae said the 2nd verse touches his heart the most. he had many days where he was worried about whether he was doing things right and as a result, he had many sleepless nights. singing shall we was difficult for him bc it was a big challenge

but meeting fans this week, those difficulties disappeared alot. this album was prepared here and there, during the little time he had between other schedules like CBX and EXO concerts

when jongdae introduced beautiful goodbye, he said he would sing "after april ends, what shall we do" (the mistake he made earlier ahsdjfk)

jongdae wants fans to sing along with him during beautiful goodbye. also he said saying the title was really confusing (bc of shall we hasjdkf)

what aspect of your voice is the most charming?

jongdae: i still dont like my voice. idk why. to me, it sounds too sharp, and i dont like to hear it.

for aaaf, there were many ppl who said jongdae shouldve done this or that considering his voice

where do you search for inspiration in lyric-writing (unsure about the question)

jongdae: i think it's my ambition! i tend to do songs that are challenging... even for this album, i couldve done something that im good at. but i enjoy coming face to face with challenges.

for covers, i couldve done things im good at but i wanted my covers to be more meaningful. i upload covers not because i wanted to show off i was good at singing, but to challenge myself

what is the thing you value the most while lyric-writing?
jongdae: to not embellish anything intentionally. while writing lyrics, this tends to happen. bc writing honestly about my experiences could be too extreme, etc. i dont want to force anything, i think i value "natural"
