Earlier today Spring Day came on on my playlist and Im not sure why it just occured to me now but there is something powerful regarding Yoongi's part in the song. It might be my own projection but there is a moment in his rap, when his delivery sounds frustrated or angry+ @BTS_twt
And I think anger is often times overlooked or even surpressed when we miss someone (especially after a loss). I think anger regarding a loss is often times seen as an inadequate response by societal norms.
Sadness is the more accepted form of grieve.+
Yet through Yoongi's part, we explore a different approach and side to missing something or someone. He validates our own experiences and feelings by showing us it's okay to feel that way.
During some counseling sessions ppl often times share their thoughts they cant share with anyone else. For example "why did xyz leave me?" (after a loved one dies). It might sound odd because except for suicide, ppl dont choose to die but the word "leave" implies an active role.+
And they cant share these thoughts because they are deemed as selfish or insensitive in society. For me, that hint of anger in Yoongi's delivery of his rap part in Spring Day reflects that.
