why does google, killer of products, let authenticator continue to exist, despite the fact that it causes people grief every time they get a new device?

seriously 2.5 stars and last updated a year ago. it’s clearly not staffed, so why hasn’t it been pulled?

fwiw, i use the OTP functionality built into @1Password because i gave up authenticator the instant that feature was released for 1P.

i forgot this is twitter, so lemme be very specific: jesse, why is google authenticator specifically indicated in the coinbase mobile app? is that based on something i did when i set up 2FA or is that global for all people who use 2FA?
