can we take a second to talk about @LaurenSanderson’s growth. she started out doing ted talks and speaking to the world hoping someone would hear her and resonate, and look at all of us now.
i remember hearing oceans when I was in one of the darkest places I can recall. that song pulled me out of it and reminded me that I can breathe and live even when it’s hard. even when it feels like i’m drowning.
and then there was center of expression, and those amazing fucking songs. that TRULY resonated with people EVERYWHERE. and she started to pick up speed and I remember crying to the palm springs music video because i was so damn proud.
the spaces EP came out and that era was fucking beautiful. she poured her whole soul into that shit, and even a huge record label took notice and when most people would have let it get to their head, SHE WROTE A WHOLE DAMN ALBUM about staying true to herself and her message.
don’t panic was one of the most well thought out, put together compositions of music ever created. very few artists can write down their darkest and innermost thoughts and make it into something beautiful, and she fucking did that while carrying all of us through some dark times.
AND THEN when that big record label wasn’t letting her be true to herself and her fans, she FUCKING LEFT. HOW MANY ARTISTS HAVE THE STRENGTH TO DO THAT? not many. but @LaurenSanderson ? hell fucking yeah.
all for us. and most importantly, for her. you will never listen to an artist more genuine or true to themselves than lauren, I stg. she packed up her shit and wrote ANOTHER three songs about how she would never let anything stand in her way and we shouldn’t either.
hasta la vista felt like a return to her roots and a homecoming. and we all welcomed her with open arms and tears in our eyes because SHIT. this woman would do anything to make sure that she is happy and we are too.
and tomorrow. ZANE FUCKING LOWE is premiering her first song of her first ALBUM!!! worldwide. hotel room. and we’re all still here and listening attentively, because @LaurenSanderson is and will forever be a fucking icon.
every time i’ve met this woman she has been absolutely NOTHING but genuine, kind, supportive, and encouraging. she’s consistently there for me and other fans and always pushing us to be the best we can be. tomorrow a new era starts and i’ve never been so ready for ANYTHING!!!
@LaurenSanderson I am so proud of you. there aren’t enough words in any language to encompass what you’ve done for me and countless others, and what you continue to do. you’re gonna take over the world. this is it. i love you.
