so every person you meet and know will have a version of "you" that exists in their mind based on information you broadcast into the world filtered through their own perception
but even the "you" that exists in your own mind can't possibly be your one True Self either, because though you may know yourself better than others do, you still have that perception filter
that's why people can point out things we don't know about ourselves

so why would that not extend to characters? we all have a version of a character in our minds put together based on that information + perception combo that allows us to retain a clear image of them
but everyone is going to have a different version, it might differ only slightly from someone else's, but that character in your mind is unique to you
so no one will ever have a 100% accurate depiction of that character *ever* because an accurate depiction doesn't actually exist
