My favorite moment of the entire proposal scene, finally in gif form so I can watch it all the time. MAKI’S JUST LIKE, “I HAVE HELD BACK FOR OVER A YEAR AND I HAVE DOUBTS ABOUT THIS BUT IF HE’S GOING TO LITERALLY FLING HIMSELF INTO MY ARMS THEN I WILL HOLD ON FOREVER.”

This hapless bisexual disaster was already so in love with Maki he tried to cook for him even though he didn’t even know what the food in his own kitchen was. HARUTA IS A SWEETHEART AND I WILL PROTECT HIM WITH MY WHOLE SOUL.

This really should have been the moment Haruta realized that Maki was seriously in love with him.

HARUTA LOOKS SO EARNEST HERE. LIKE, CAN S2 HAVE ONE TRIUMPH IN THE KITCHEN FOR HIM PLEASE. HE WOULD BE SO HAPPY IF HE COULD MAKE SOMETHING MAKI WOULD GENUINELY ENJOY.

My favorite part of this moment is that you can FEEL Maki’s disappointment in himself.

Oh fun fact: Kento adlibbed this. He wasn’t supposed to eat it, but as he put it: “I thought Maki would eat it.” Half of Maki’s excessiveness is Kento being a genius and I love him for it.

At some point, Tanaka Kei said he played Haruta as having fallen in love with Maki at first sight, and EVEN IF HE HADN’T CONFIRMED THAT, EXPLAIN THIS ROMANCE-HAZED MEMORY OF MAKI THE NIGHT BEFORE IN ANY OTHER WAY.

Kento will will impress me forever with what he‘s done as Maki. Like, Maki is eight years younger than Haruta and HE ACTS LIKE IT but he’s also so stupidly smart and capable that everyone thinks that he’s also self-confident and mature. Meanwhile he’s just terrified ALL THE TIME.
