Here are some thoughts about Hancock's future in One Piece and why I think she might die if she ends up in wano. A thread!

I'm doing this because I haven't seen anyone talk about this while it's been on my mind this the entire year.

So this thread will be a little messy because I don't have a complete theory. It's just a bunch of thoughts... more of a discussion starter?

Let's start with Hancock's love for Luffy. Former Empress Nyon claims the other empresses have all passed away because they have fallen in love.

Oda is cautious with "death" related terms. Which bring us to. Hancock's future is either being with Luffy, dying or dying FOR Luffy.

We know that Hancock loves Luffy. She wants him to be happy, wants to support and be there for him.

Which takes us to the next possibility. There are strong hints that the warlord system is over.

It's very possible that if the warlord system indeed is gone that Hancock will seek out Luffy to be there for him. Now that she can and is back to being a wanted pirate.

Hancock might be coming to wano and there has been hints about that in colour spreads.

In this colour spread we see Hancock and Luffy riding a blue dragon... Kaido?

This either was just another hint that Kaido is a blue dragon or it's an additional hint that Hancock will be there for Luffy against Kaido.

Let's look at a more recent colour spread. The manga has been in Wano for a bit by then and the spread is obviously wano inspired BUT why is Robin wearing a leg warmer like the Kuja Pirates member Magaret? And Franky's snake tattoo? The literally symbol of Amazon Lily?

Franky's snake maybe is just a hint about the rebellion since it looks like the snake on papers passed around but why would Oda add the very distinct key outfit bit that we associate with the Kuja Pirates?

BUT it also can be a hint about grand fleet? (Or it's nothing special )

So here are my thoughts.

I think that IF Hancock decides to follow Luffy to Wano. She might die FOR him.

Oda has mentioned that Wano will be greater than Marineford. Which probably means more deaths. Boa Hancock is a very loved, popular character. Luffy cares a lot for her. -

We have seen Hancock charge towards people who attack Luffy without second thought. she wouldn't hesitate to take a bullet for Luffy if ever needed.

Hancock's death would be significant for the readers, Luffy and the one piece universe.

Possibilities of Hancock's future.

Warlord system abolished:
- but she stays put/does something else not wano related.

- she follows Luffy to wano.

Hancock in wano:
- helps Luffy to victory

- dies FOR Luffy

Before I used to be certain that Hancock will die by the end of One Piece because Oda decided to include that the former empresses all passed away because they too fell in love and only Nyon seems to have been able to be with her partner survived. We don't know how they died-

But yeah after seeing Luffy reject her twice I kind of decided that I rather see Hancock die a great death than have a pathetic future without Luffy.

That was before. Now I'm not that certain anymore. Luffy has changed a lot. He has grown. Oda is a sucker for romance-

He watches romantic dramas, reality shows etc. Now I think there is still a possibility that Hancock and Luffy will end up together after all.

So even if Hancock arrives at Wano. She might not die. It's just something I fear will happen.

I don't do theories. I don't even read or watch them. I just really love Hancock and spend a lot of time thinking about her.

Anway I might have forgotten some things which I might add later. Maybe I'll add stuff because of future chapters etc.

It's happening

Going through the chapters with Hancock and here she specifically says she wished she could trade places with Luffy who was near death.

Hancock dying for Luffy so he can live. I have no doubt she would do it.
