🇺🇸🇺🇸Planet of the Apes🇺🇸🇺🇸
Folks, who doesnt love this 1968 classic? We've all seen it at least a dozen times. Ive tripled that i'm sure.

But I noticed something familiar, couldnt place my finger on it until I looked at it from another movie's view point.

The Wizard of Oz.
1) Dorothy, at the beginning of the movie, starts off commenting on how things would be better "somewhere else", other than Kansas.

Taylor, in Planet of the Apes, expresses the same views while traveling through space..."there has got to be something better than man..."
2) Dorothy gets knocked out after rushing to escape a tornado and is trasported to the land of Oz...

Taylor, after admittedly "escaping earth", shoots himself in the arm with a sleep serum, and then settles into the sleep chamber and gets transported to the Planet of Apes...
3) Dorothy wakes up and meets friends who help her along her journey down the yellow brick road, each with unique talents.

Taylor also wakes up and is helped by friends (with unique skills) along his journey which ends up past the Forbidden Zone...
4) Along the way Dorothy and her friends are hunted by the wicked Witch of the West's flying monkeys.

Taylor and his friends are also being hunted by monkeys...both of his contemporary astronaut peers met dubious fates. One in a museum the other lobotomized...
5) Speaking of the Wicked Witch of the West who wants to capture Dorothy because her Ruby shoes...

In Planet of the Apes, Dr. Zaius wants to capture Taylor because of the knowledge of what Taylor is and what he, Taylor, represents to Dr. Zaius...
6) Dorothy finally makes it to see the Wizard of Oz. The one who will reveal all the secrets of how to get back to Kansas.

Taylor too is led to the archeological site that will reveal the secret that Dr. Zaius has been keeping and self admitting by "dreading all these years..."
7) After tapping her ruby heels, Dorothy wakes up to discover she's home, back on the farm in Kansas, surrounded by all her friends all along.

In the end, Taylor too discovers he has been at home all along...
8) Hope you enjoyed this!!
9) Beware the beast Man, for he is the Devil's pawn. Alone among God's primates, he kills for sport, or lust or greed. Yea, he will murder his brother to possess his brother's land. Let him not breed in great numbers, for he will make a desert of his home and yours...
10) ...Shun him. Drive him back into his jungle liar, for he is the harbinger of death.
11)....sorry, couldnt resist! 😆😆😆
