This convo is pretty close to my thoughts on cancel culture

Regular folks are scared of getting cancelled and cancel culture in general because they don’t have the same means, network and privileges of famous people that many blue checks on here say disproves cancel culture

I’ll lay my cards out here: I’ve been laid off, broke and constantly worried about how I was going to take care of my family. I wouldn’t wish that physical and psychic trauma on anyone. Period.

Especially not for likes and retweets.

Bad behavior should always be dealt with. We have norms in society for a reason. There must be accountability in order to have an equitable and stable society. Understanding why someone fears “cancel culture” doesn’t undermine that. https://twitter.com/donaldrichard/status/1172975236783980544?s=21
