Okay sorta long thread but here goes...
I was born in Japan. My dad was career Air Force and stationed there. We lived at 2 stateside bases before getting stationed in Belgium. I grew up with kids of all ethnic and religious backgrounds. Skin color or religion...who cared?

All we cared about was who was out to play and who had the ball, chalk, bikes or whatever to play with. My neighborhood was filled with British, Belgian, Dutch and American kids. My judo partner was an Italian boy. We explored and shared cultures. We had a blast.

It wasn't until we moved back stateside that I had a clue what racism was. I have been told it is not appropriate to say I was colorblind but I truly was. It still does not matter to me what ethnicity or religious background someone has. Treat me nice and get same in return.

I've been unfriended by someone because I attended the marriage of my classmate to HIS husband. I've been chastised for mocking the Catholic Church while hiding their pedophiles. I don't mock my friends for their faith, just the crimes of the institution behind it.

I LOVE the lyrics in John Lennon's song Imagine but get chastized because he was abusive.

I loved Star Trek because it showed people being treated as equals across the board. Even the Klingons were accepted. ;-)

As long as we allow the Trumps, Putins, Balsanaros & despots of the world to remain in power we will never get the chance live life in peace.

The time is now. No more "I hate politics. Don't wanna talk politics."

We must get everyone involved to get scum out of power.
