So, I guess I gotta remind those who think THE NEWSROOM was Aaron Sorkin at his hilarious worst of a little show called STUDIO 60 ON THE SUNSET STRIP.

Who can forget the legendary “Science Schmience” bit?

This one is simply titled “Jesus Is Head of Standards.”

Ah, the Sorkinverse, filled with brilliant, obnoxious geniuses/Sorkin stand-ins and the self-loathing women who love them.

It still amazes me that Sorkin wrote his on-again/off-again relationship with Kristin Chenoweth (played here by a young Sarah Paulson) into the show — and no one said, “Dude, what the fuck you’re doing?”

YAY! I finally found the clip where Bradley Whitford tells a pregnant Amanda Peet that he will basically begin stalking her.

The only character I liked was Steven Weber’s network chairman, who saw through everybody’s bullshit. Originally written as the chief antagonist, Sorkin turned him into an occasional ally.

If you’re wondering where the hell are the writers on this show, they were treated just as poorly as Sorkin’s WEST WING writers. (This one’s for @AmirTalai.)
