4. Both were claimed to be demigods

6. Both successfully lead the Greeks against the "Barbarians" (more to follow)
7. Both outdid their earthly fathers in legacy
8. Both had lifelong male lovers (Achilles has Patroclus, Alexander had Hephaestion)
9. Both their lifelong male lovers were also warriors
10. Both Achilles and Alexander traveled to the east (more to follow)
11. Both went on wars of conquest
12. Both faced a great Eastern Power (Achilles has Troy, Alexander had Persia)
13. Both went the same route into Turkey
14. Both took their lifelong male lovers into the east with them.
15. Both could be moody, letting their emotions affect
their decision making
16. Both their lifelong male lovers died in the east (Patroclus was killed by Hector, Hephaestion died of illness)

fell a while after Patroclus died. Though Alexander conquered Persia, he failed to conquer all of India, and he was planning to invade the Arabian Peninsula when Hephaestion died)
19. Both sought revenge for their deaths (Achilles slew Hector, while Alexander had Hephaestion's
doctor executed, and destroyed a temple of Asclepius, the Greek god of medicine, blaming both for Hephaestion's death)
20. Both slew a warrior that they later dragged the corpse of with their chariot (Achille dragged Hector, Alexander dragged Batis of Gaza)

Achilles and Alexander died shortly after their lifelong male lovers did

27. Both outdid both gods and heroes (Out of all the heroes who fought at Troy, including
Odysseus, Achilles was the one who slew Hector and achieved the most fame and glory. The gods at times fought at Troy, but they did not attain the glory, fame and legend that Achilles did (Ares only fought at Troy for a day, and was wounded by a mortal and removed from battle
by other gods. He never slew a warrior at Troy that was as renowned as Hector. Likewise, Alexander penetrated further into India than, according to myth, Dionysus did when he supposedly invaded India, and Alexander was able to take the Rock of Aornus, which according to myth
even Herakles/Hercules was unable to take by force)

30. Both their mothers (Achilles had Thetis, Alexander had Olympias) played notable roles in their lives, even when their sons were adults.
