i don't know how many District Attorney's were passing bills in the California Legislature while also running for Attorney General, but nobody does that by themselves. she had buy-in. she produced results that lowered #Truancy in California for k-5 students most at risk.

Just over two-thirds of the California Legislature (81) voted for Kamala Harris' truancy legislation (SB 1317) in 2010. Her bill passed the Assembly 58-17 on August 30, 2010 and the Senate the next day 23-13. It's still the law today.
