Posted this on my ig story and because of the responses I received, I felt that it was important to share on here as well. I don’t think in this time anyone has an excuse to not know something OR to know something but IGNORE it because they didn’t grow up believing it.

There’s a reason why millions of Muslims mourn every year for Imam Hussain and his family. There’s a reason why on Arbaeen (40 days after Imam Hussain was slaughtered) 20+ million Muslims make a pilgrimage to Karbala making it the largest gathering in the WORLD.

But there’s also a reason why the other millions of Muslims don’t mourn or turn a blind eye to this tragedy. They didn’t learn the significance because generations of Muslims weren’t taught about the Ahlul Bait! Many individuals in power wanted to erase their legacy.

THAT DOESN’T MEAN that our generation has any excuse to be ignorant. aH we are blessed to have an abundance of resources to learn from and the easiest thing you can do is type on google. Watch a lecture. Read a book.
