Y’all, you may have seen this thread and thought “why the browns.”

Welp here’s why the browns.

Growing up, never really cared about sports. As a kid I liked the Cowboys, back when Aikman and E. Smith played. I was third string on the B team in 8th Grade. And then in hs, sports became this huge talking point for guys and dudes. I’d get judged for not “having a team”

I mean I was in band so every fall I had to give a shit about football, but that was it.

Freshmen year I had an Algebra teacher who loved football. The class was mostly dudes and every morning he’d go around the room and talk about everyones favorite teams and how they did that sunday.

I knew the Browns notoriously sucked and I wanted no part of any sports conversation. Just wanted to learn math and get the hell out of there. This teacher was kinda douchey.

So whenever he’d ask me about sports I’d shut down every conversation by mentioning the Browns. Until one day, he told me they did pretty well. I had no idea but suddenly I wanted to keep up.

Over the years I’d check in to see how they did. I remember one year they almost beat the cowboys, I’m pretty sure that’s when they had Colt McCoy but after that season I was HOOKED.

I loved how ragtag they still seemed year after year. So much potential and so much dissaray as far as coaching. So imagine how stoked I was for this season.

Call them a disappointment this year, but they weren’t far from football fans thoughts and opinions and had a pretty average season.

SURE they lost to a 1-14 team BUT HEY, at least they weren’t the 1-14 team!

For the record, I didn’t agree with Kitchens as head coach and I would have loved seeing Gregg Williams win and lose with grace all season. I hope next year, if they fire kitchens, they find a decent coach who can grow with the team as well.

So all in all. I love the Browns. I love how horribly they’re managed and I love the potential they come in with every season. Maybe one day they’ll get their shit together and actually build and strengthen a team.

Someday they’ll make the playoffs, and someday... idk... maybe even..
