first i don’t wanna be telling you who to stan so like sorry if the title of the thread is a lil aggressive for you this won’t be based on the type of music they make or their looks or anything bc that’s just opinion these are just facts also remake of old thread
second i wanted to say i was a GIGANTIC limelight from around 2017-2018 for proof i met them at mg and bought limelight for invitation but couldn’t go
this thread is gonna be messy and all over the place
#1 Zach Herron said the N word and never apologized
#2 there are multiple people and sources saying that they have hooked up with their ex manager and one of the members brothers, tyler seavey. also his dick picks got leaked and nothing was done to handle to situation and they have a very large amount of young fans
#3 along with daniels parents along with daniel and his family have shown support against the lgbtq+ community and have supported anti abortion messages
#4 corbyn besson one members of the group has made jokes about autism and has far shamed people on his finata account on instagram. when confronted by fans, he would block them
although this is already so much there’s a lot more shit they’ve done and not acknowledged. bc idk them i’m not saying that they’re absolutely horrible people bc they did these things bc we all make mistakes and learn but it’s bc they didn’t apologize for their mistakes it’s bad
now moving on to the toxic fandom and personal experience
i would like to say i had both and ig and twt stan account for over a year
as soon as i entered the fandom i saw a LOT of underage sexualization of the why don’t we memebers by the fans which was very openly accepted and not ever talked about
people can be extremely toxic, not saying other fandoms can’t be bc obviously we all have those fans BUT why don’t we has a large amount especially towards those who aren’t white, skinny, or rich
now i’d like to talk about their crazy stalker fans who r CRAZY
when was in the fandom i knew this one girl who i thought was my friend but crazy. she bought tickets to EVERY SINGLE SHOW for one tour and MULTIPLE VIP packages and followed them to hotels, hogged the members at limelight and followed them around while they were hanging out
she would go extremely out of her way to get noticed and although she was a minor she’d flirt with the members and talk about drinking and sex in front of them and i front of young children at limelight
finally i’d like to talk about when i left the fandom and what it was like
i had a large amount of stan “friends” on the “popular” side who were well known and knew many fans that i’d count as stalkers. when i started to get more involved in the kpop community people would bash me on the tl saying “oomf is a kpop girl now gross” or shit like that
as i started to lean more towards kpop more of that started happening and people would dm me to tell me to die and telling me that i didn’t deserve to meet why don’t we or that i was a slut etc and shaming me
ultimately it lead me to delete my old twt account because along with shaming me they were shaming artist that i and other multis supported
more recently it’s been shown that zach chested on his long term girlfriend and fans continued to make excuses about him cheating

i have some stuff i’m not comfortable sharing but this girl dmed me and it reminded me of my experience which i’m not 100% comfortable sharing yet saying that members were checking her out and calling her gorgeous etc and checking her out and she thought it was fan service
but we need to come to understnadment that checking someone out and calling them things like sexy gorgeous pretty adorable cute over and over and over again when someone may feel uncomfortable is CLEARLY not fan service
