yukhei • nyx (night)

the heir for one of the five families, the major organized crime families in new york. during the day he goes to uni, the nights are for learning his father's cruel but efficient ways on business.
he's very good with kids, especially getting them to sleep.

hendery • gaia (earth)

a young primary school teacher who later specializes in earth science. everyone's favorite, always very kind and righteous. likes experimenting at home (his house resembles to a witch's hut) where the kids spontaneously visit him.
has a pet axolotl.

yangyang • aion (eternity)

a millionaire world traveler. his mission is to visit all the ancient temples around the world. he's been alive for quite a long time, his journey attracted a lot of attention from the mass media.
can never settle in one place more than a week.

dejun • ourea (mountains)

an insanely talented smuggler. his age makes him the youngest leader of the serpent organization. he works directly for the head of the genovese family who's happen to be yukhei's father.
the two of them are close, dejun pays frequent visits to yukhei.

ten • moirai (fate)

principal dancer of the new york city ballet. the glue. was chosen to be the face of the company and he's using the publicity to highlight important issues. comes from a big family and they still live with him, from baby cousins to great-grandparents.

kun • moros (doom)

senior ER surgeon in a brooklyn hospital. his colleagues thinks of him as a walking miracle hence his impeccable record.
single parent of a little girl named yín who's crazy for swan lake and a certain male dancer so fridays are usually saved for ballet.

chenle • ophion (life)

a high school student who lives in a small town near the ocean. growing up he got to know the deep with its creatures and they accepted him as one of them. a skilled sailor, often absent from school because of his family's journeys.
doesn't dream at all.

jisung • chronos (time)

an ageless man in all shapes and forms possible. he accompanied yangyang for the first thousand years of his journey since the creation of earth but eventually settled and established a bar called 'thera'.
his cheerful personality makes him look younger.

jeno • eros (love)

university student, yukhei's classmate and frenemy. his grandma owns a flower shop in the heart of the bowery, jeno trains under her wings to become a florist. people are naturally drawn to him because of his good nature.
awful fashion sense, dirty jokes.

jaemin • aether (light)

the fbi's newest hrt operator. he's very ambitious and good at following rules, but even better at creating new ones. the troublemaker of the team, but always takes full responsibility.
good at hiding his emotions, but secretly breaks down a lot.

renjun • phanes (procreation)

freelance journalist. ten's neighbor, the two of them talk about activism over their morning coffees a lot. a few years ago he teamed up with a hacker under the id "chaos" to bring down a seemingly untouchable corporation.
has two black cats.

yuta • achlys (misery)

he's a novelist. shares a small apartment with his husband (an archeologist, constantly on the road) in the bowery. sharp-witted and has a cold demeanor, but is a warm person. he likes to knit but not really good at it.
good friends with jeno's grandma.

johnny • chaos (void)

has been around the longest (him, jisung and yangyang are the old souls of the deities). infamous hacker, currently works with renjun. the only person who knows everyone personally and they often ask him for help (the dad™).
insomniac, bubble tea addict.

jaehyun • erebus (darkness)

lead guitarist in a rock band. childhood friend of johnny's, the two of them are dancing around each other since forever. jaemin's older brother (this is the closest family relation amongst the deities).
is deaf in one ear and always hungry.

sicheng • hemera (day)

a new york based archeologist who lives in peru for a year now. happily married to a writer. can learn a language in a year. him and yukhei met by accident and became friends quickly (he constantly checks on him just in case).
emotional, swears a lot.

jungwoo • tartarus (underworld)

president of an outlaw motorcycle club. appears to be young with a cheeky personality. people around him cannot read him at all. terrible with money because of his generosity.
him and chenle are pen pals, adores insects and spiders.

taeyong • physis (nature)

a young farmer in richmondville, schoharie county. after the passing of his parents he took over the family business alongside his sisters. surrounded by women so he learned how to cook, bake and sew.
smart and funny, but stressed 24/7. has a pet cow.

donghyuck • ananke (compulsion)

boxer and part-time waiter in bronx. has a pretty face and a deadly grip. quite hot-headed, constantly picks fights with strangers (and wins all of them). religious downton abbey fan.
can't lie to save his life and falls in love easily.

doyoung • himeros (tension)

an olympic fencer. filthy rich but doesn't spend a lot. close friends with the nakamoto-dong family. has a resort by the ocean (he met chenle a couple of times there).
lactose intolerant, often dreams of the others (he sees them as stangers though).

taeil • pontus (sea)

the oldest deity in human years. director of queens zoo. has a very chill personality which is a blessing when it comes to security malfunctions or injuries. extremely competitive. treasures all the living creatures.
he drinks at jisung's bar on fridays.

mark • uranus (sky)

bronx based astronomer. growing up he wanted to be an astronaut but has terrible eyesight. knows taeyong from his regular visits to the farmers market. him and certain boxer are yet to meet.
the life of the party, good with words. owns a messy apartment.
