~A thread on the BU~

The BU is presented in the pictures below. The next tweets will include links such as translations, a detailed timeline, and observations.

Here's the list of the BU content:

And now, a few things about the map!
It was made by combining the English, Korean and Japanese version of The Notes 1. With the Spanish version coming soon, more parts will probably be revealed.

My bet is on the zone of Yeongsan-dong, since it must be where Magnolia Mansion, Taehyung's house, is (close to the +
Now concerning what we have.
Songju is a fictional city. Some of its administrative divisions exist IRL though (there's a Nam district in Busan and Daegu for example) but there doesn't seem to be any intended reference. If you're curious, I'll write everything I found below
There's a Munhyeon-dong in Nam-gu in Busan (note it's not Mun-hyeon but Munhyeon-dong, they're different types of divisions: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Administrative_divisions_of_South_Korea, which, yes, means the map may be wrong since I'm not a pro in Korean administration).
In the same way, Munhyeon-dong doesn't have a Mun-hyeon Heights complex but a Munhyeon Heightsville complex
There's a Yeongsan-dong in Naju. It does have a community center and there's indeed an elementary school not far but the school is outside of the dong
Now for the places!

Note that Nae-ri gas station is actually the real one they went to in the Prologue
There seem to be Yangji orphanages IRL but I can't find details. There's one fun thing here though: http://www.culturecontent.com/content/contentView.do?search_div=CP_THE&search_div_id=CP_THE004&cp_code=cp0238&index_id=cp02381846&content_id=cp023818460001&search_left_menu=3

I don't really understand what it is. It seems to be for writers to create universes. This entry is about a Yangji orphanage and the author is Kim Taehyung
Last detail about the orphanage. Yangji can mean "sunny spot"🙃
And finally... a thing I don't understand😅
When you type "송주문화회관" (Songju Cultural center) on Google, you get 4 results. All are news articles about an event (a performance of the Sound of Music in July 2018) held in a few places, including Songju cultural center.
Except that this cultural center cannot be found anywhere else than in those articles. I suppose it's actually another name for Hongseong cultural center, the one Google and Naver bring up when you try searching for it. But it's still weird this name was only used for this +
And that's it! I didn't find anything for the other locations.

In the end, Songju was probably created as your average Korean city to give a familiar feeling while remaining fictive. All the names can be found in several parts of Korea so there's probably nothing to analyze +
here. The only meaningful one is the gas station but the creators had to include that one since the Prologue was released before the BU.

If you have any question or want to discuss something my DMs are opened or you can send an ask on CuriousCat here: https://curiouscat.me/Sub_versi0n
BONUS
Everyone says thank you Jimin!
Thanks to his tweet, we have a picture of the bus stop from House of BTS, the BTS pop-up store opened in Seoul between October 2019 and January 2020 https://twitter.com/BTS_twt/status/1186901699312533504
Three stops are written (from left to right):
-Central park
-Songju Jeil middle School (where Jimin "is")
-Gyeongil Hospital crossroad
The first two can be seen on the map of Songju.
Maybe it's because Jimin was the one to post it but it reminds me of the 19 May YEAR 22 Note
The art toys came with a bus stop too ( https://twitter.com/bighit_merch/status/1165806175536893952).
The stops are:
-Nae-ri three-way intersection
-Nae-ri bridge
-Yeongsan-dong Community Center

Nae-ri is the district where Namjoon's gas station is. The graffitis hint it's the stop from the Highlight Reel
With so little info, it's hard to locate either the stops or the bus routes but it's always nice to see Big Hit put such application in what they do💜
