You get less number of times Insulin in the body .
Insulin is anabolic harmone. It forces body to go into fat storage mode.
Once Insulin comes down to a base level ( differs from person to person) , other crucial hormones like Glucagon come into play and start fat burning

First phase was difficult for me. Had never skipped breakfast from the day I joined vjti hostel. Year 2000.
Earlier, used to eat twice before joining Hostel. Anyways, weight didn't start piling up that time until I came and joined Siemens. Age 24.

Sedentary lifestyle started taking toll... When I joined company, my weight was 70...Approx 172 cm height ... BMI near 24
Over the years I ate thrice a day... Breakfast , lunch , dinner.
Snacks, parties and everything.
I moved out of rat race in 2017, weight had climbed

To approximately 98 kg levels. Was walking daily for 4 kms.
After getting financially free, decided to double time, morning and evening 4/4.5 km each... 8 to 9 km daily...
Have been doing for 14 months upto Nov 18.
No drastic change in weight though. Like all, I used to

Curse my genes and bad metabolism (which was untrue)
Dixit diet (start weight 97kg in Nov18) helped a lot to slowly bring down weight ... Carb intake was same. No change in diet only change in frequency of eating... Weight slowly came down to 86 levels in 9/10 months

Morning walk session, thought cripped, should I try to run.
I barely ran 10 feet.
Felt as if impossible thing to me. Shared it with my wife. She started laughing.
It's ok I said to me. Big deal...
Today I sprint , burst sprint for 15-20 second session daily as recommended

By Mark Scisson. And yes I do it effortlessly.
After hitting platue, I wanted to stretch myself further and started OMAD.
One meal a day.
Thought it's crazy. To make it harder, accompanied it with ketogenic diet....
It was hell for 5 days.
Drowsy. Carb intake reduced

Significantly. Body was adjusting to change fuel source from carb(glucose) to fat.
After almost a week, started feeling absolutely amazing. Its feeling like never before.
Platue gone. Weight has now come to 82 kg levels.

Me. It's much easier now when we do it together.
Much tougher when you have 2.5 year angel who want to feed everything to her father while she eats 10 times a day
She has started understanding it. Father won't eat except in the evening 6 pm. Kids learn fast.

During this entire journey my wife stood behind me like rock. My friend @RajeshChande joined my journey just after one month from the day I started. He has also lost approximately 6-7 kgs in the journey.

It's totally new lifestyle.
Really difficult if you see from sidelines.
Very low carb intake (20-50) gram of carbohydrates, moderate protein and high fat.
Very delightful to follow.

Few things to remember:
1) As I always say , sabse bada rog, kya kahenge log. When you are on this journey you will be distracted by each and every individual around you (with few rare exceptions of course). Be ready for that.
2) Don't let nutrients deficiency to creep in.

4) Your family support is absolutely must in this journey (Same as in financial independence journey, lucky me in both cases.)

6) You have to be absolutely disciplined in the journey as it's very very easy to get tempted and derail...
7) Beginners should start with first 12:12 intermittent fasting ... Then 16:8 intermittent fasting. Unless your body become fat adapted don't jump on OMAD.

8) Why sharing now: I felt, unless I inculcate this living on my own and don't experience it, it's futile to share with the world. After almost 10 month on this path , now I am comfortable to share and discuss on the topic openly ...
Felt many will get benefited if shared...

9) Giving up sugars and carb feels difficult. But in reality when you will start eating protein and fat rich foods, your satiety levels increase way too much to reduce and then eliminate cravings...
10) Have weekly weight tracking ... Helps you to be on path. Small wins.

To enhance diversity in gut microbiome, we need to bring in pre-biotic and pro-biotic food types in our daily consumption.
Brief video on understanding pre and pro biotics is attached here.

If you want to have diverse gut microbiome, you have to feed them properly too.
Try to have multi colour variation in those. Every colour has different significance and importance.
