✨ Understanding Aquarius Venus ✨

A thread explaining and analyzing Aquarius Venus from start to end.
Aquarius is a sign ruled by Saturn and Uranus, one a planet of restrictions, control and traditions and the other of renovations,
sudden changes, independence and what’s out of the ordinary a.k.a. not traditionally accepted.
So naturally, Aquarius being a masculine zodiac sign defined by contradictions to begin with (because zodiac signs have genders), it makes it hard to understand its energy nor qualify it as a soft, gentle and overall feminine one.
Venus on the other hand, ruler of Taurus and Libra is about embracing one’s feminine side (despite Libra being a masculine sign), working for harmony and peace, finding the balance between giving and taking love and seeing beauty in everything and expressing oneself with elegance
This is why Aquarius Venus is often misunderstood; its freedom-loving nature is taken for coldness, its unbiasedness for aloofness and its logical thinking for lack of emotion. Needless to say, the Venusian and Aquarian energies aren’t traditionally complementary.
Venus wants to show its affection and give importance to romantic relationships while Aquarius isn’t comfortable with displaying their love and often chooses independence as they might find romantic relationships too ‘smothering’ and even ‘unnecessary’.
• So how does Venus manifest itself in Aquarius?

Aquarius Venus individuals will instinctively give greater importance to friendships over relationships. These individuals often have an unusual circle of friends meaning friends from all walks of life.
Aquarian Venus can make friends with the Queen Bee as well as the “loser” — they love studying different types of people and are good at making interesting conversation with them all while avoiding judgement and keeping an open mind.
These people want to get involved with people without too much intimacy and emotional drama. They treat their friends equally which can give their love interests a hard time as they might not feel special around them and even feel as if Aquarius Venus’ feelings have died down.
The issue is, Aquarius Venus tends to befriend all of their potential love interests which either puts them in the friendzone or the the other way around. They might shy away from any friendship attempts all together and pursue a platonic love style.
• How can you tell if Aquarius Venus is interested in you?

Truth be told, it won’t be easy. Aquarians are confident friends but shy lovers; they’re uncomfortable with sharing their feelings and a rejection might be a big setback.
Aquarius Venus will try to befriend you by being nonchalant but consistent with their friendship (developed). Or, they can overdo the ‘careless’ act and withdraw from showing any hint of interest at all (undeveloped).
But their way of gradually showing interest depends on how well the other person’s reacting. If it’s another Aquarius or Gemini, Libra Venus, they will bond over talking endlessly. Whereas if it’s a Leo, Sagittarius or Aries Venus the flirting might be more physical.
Overall, Aquarius Venus generally flirt by talking and bombarding you with questions to get to know you better as they’re sincerely interested. If they’re not interested though, they will avoid you, act cold and refuse to interact with you all together.
• How do you satisfy Aquarius Venus’ needs?

Venus in Aquarius needs a lot of independence and space. It shouldn’t be taken personally, the right partner won’t anyway. They don’t want to be smothered with love and over-dramatic love declarations will draw them away.
You have to be their friend before anything else; if friendship and love don’t go together for you, Aquarius Venus isn’t the one. They want an easygoing partner who is smart, social, open-minded, objective, interesting and a little bit of a weirdo.
They dislike major emotional displays and even more guilt trips for not showing ‘enough’ affection and emotion. Their affection is hidden in the conversations they have with you. It’s in their eyes when you speak and in their laugh when you say something funny.
Overall, they dislike domineering, overly-emotional, dull, controlling, boring, pessimistic and clingy people. They need a partner who’s independent and is both a best friend and a lover. The best way to get them is by being your own confident self.
In conclusion, Aquarius Venus feel emotions as much as anyone else but just have a harder time displaying them like everyone else. They need their alone time to process things on their own to be a better version of themselves to you.
They’re the type of people who will admire you from afar and appreciate you for simply being you when they’re too shy to admit those thoughts. They get hurt and they feel love, just as much as you do. Thanks for reading 💕
